Thai Art Student Makes Edible Body Parts From Bread

Thai Fine Art student and son of a baker, Kittiwat Unarrom, has cooked up his own little niche in the Thai Food industry.

Inspired by anatomy and informed by several visits to forensic museums, Unarrom created the tacitly named “Body Bakery”.

In his bakery, every item is a brutally gruesome, almost unbelievably realistic looking sculpture of dismembered human body parts made entirely from bread.

His works or art/food are up for sale at his showroom / gallery / exhibition /bakery / torture-chamber / tourist attraction (whatever you want to call it) in Ratchaburi, Thailand.

Among his delicious delights you will find heads, hands, feet, and internal organs which come displayed impaled on hooks.

Using dough, raisins, cashew nuts, chocolate and other edible ingredients, Unarrom aims to shock and please all his hungry punters, of which there are many.

“Of course, people were shocked and thought that I was mad when they saw the works. But once they knew the idea behind it, they understood and became interested in the work itself, instead of thinking that I am crazy.”
“When people see the bread, they don’t want to eat it. But when they taste it, it’s just normal bread. The lesson is ‘don’t judge just by outer appearances.”
