Not satisfied with the complicated lines of most mechanical prosthetic arms, designer Kaylene Kau has created a minimalist, user-friendly prosthetic arm that supports the dominant functioning hand with simplicity.

The prosthetic arm resembles a tentacle, with 8 moveable sections connected to a base. A simple mechanism runs through the device which allows users control how many sections of the arm curl.

Although the design is technologically far less advanced as other bionic limbs on the market, it works with surprising efficiency and allows the user to perform a number of everyday tasks.
