A 900 Pound Man Suffering From Prader-Willi Syndrome Removed From Home By Forklift Truck
In Michigan, firefighters recently had to remove a man weighing 900 pounds from his home using a forklift truck.
The man had not left the house since 2003 but after a visiting nurse showed concerns about his health, he was sent to receive medical attention calling upon the fire brigade for his only means of transportation.
The Fire Brigade wrapped the man in blue tarp to help cover his identity. He was then placed on platform that was raised to the hole in the wall, the platform was then slide off on to a flat bed truck and transported with man to Sparrow Hospital.
According to his brother, the 33 year old man suffered from a rare genetic disorder called Prader-Willi Syndrome that creates a chronic feeling of hunger causing overeating and life threatening obesity.
Until till now, there have been no updates on the health of the man.
